Welcome to Pantry Plate (the "Application" or "App"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any information generated during your usage of our mobile companion app.

This privacy statement outlines our clear practices, what data we access, how your device processes your pantry inventory, and our total adherence to the Google Play Developer Program Policies.

We do not collect or harvest any personally identifiable information (PII).

Pantry Plate is designed to run efficiently on your device without asking you to create accounts, provide emails, or sign-in:

• Local Pantry State: All values representing items in your pantry, dietary preferences, and preptime filters are stored safely and locally on your phone within an encrypted Room sandboxed database context.
• Favorites List: Your curated cookbook bookmarks remain strictly client-side. They never sync to a cloud service under our control unless you choose to share a custom recipe payload manually.
• Shopping Registry: The shopping list resides fully in-memory and in local database storage.

Pantry Plate utilizes serverless, secured generative models (such as the Gemini API) to safely assist with matching recipes or enhancing culinary instructions when requests are triggered:

• No user metadata, device serial IDs, or sensitive account info is sent along with API calls.
• Only the string list of raw selected ingredients and simple dietary constraints (e.g., "Vegan", "Gluten-Free") is processed to compute high-accuracy meal matches.
• All communication channels with our endpoints are fully secure, adhering to standard HTTPS encryption (TLS 1.3).

We do not sell, rent, trade, or distribute your local data to any marketing platforms, data brokers, or advertising networks. Because we do not store your data on external clouds, it is functionally impossible for us to share it with or expose it to third parties.

Pantry Plate fully complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) guidelines and all Google Play Child Protection policies. We do not knowingly collect or solicit PII from anybody, let alone children under the age of 13.

Since your data resides entirely on your local device repository:

• You have absolute power to audit, inspect, clear, or purge your pantry list and saved favorites instantly from with App settings or by simply clearing your App's local storage data under system settings.
